I am a 40 year-old stay-at-home mom of two beautiful children ages 7 and 5 and wife of 10 years to Sean. Prior to staying home with our children, I had built a successful 10-year professional career in the field of non-profit fundraising, specifically working with major gift donors.
While pregnant, especially with our 2nd child, I had become more aware of eating clean and the effects of processed foods on my body and the baby’s body. 2 months post-pregnancy I joined my very first accountability group doing the 21 Day Fix. My goal of this group was to lose the pregnancy weight and to learn more about clean eating and portion control. At this point my weight post-pregnancy loss had plateaued and I was sitting 15 lbs heavier than I was before becoming pregnant. Honestly I felt like this was it. I was going to be stuck at this weight forever.
That feeling of being “stuck” changed quickly after starting the 21 Day Fix. I loved the results I was seeing and I loved all I was learning about clean eating, portion control and putting quality nutrients into my body that I decided that I wanted to help others do the same.
I don’t like to cook. There I said it! But eating clean means needing to cook whether you like to or not. That being said, the recipes you will find on here are designed for people like me who are busy with little time and/or desire to cook. If you’re a professional chef then my recipes may not be for you 🙂
So here I am today, down 20 lbs from that first day I participated in an accountability group. I am encouraging and motivating people on a daily basis to live a healthier and happier life through clean eating and exercise. I am loving the life Sean and I have created together! I thank God every day for the life that I have! I feel truly blessed in every sense of the work!
